Braving the Mysterious Bradley
The Carl D. Bradley, a shipwreck lying over 110 meters deep in Lake Michigan, presents a challenging dive for explorers. Built in 1927, it sank in a storm in 1958, resulting in the loss of most of its crew. A recent dive by a team led by Jeff Lindsay highlighted its majestic and haunting presence underwater. Despite cold temperatures and poor visibility, the team found stunning details of the wreck, yet the location’s remoteness keeps the Bradley mostly unknown in the diving community. The legend of the Bradley lives on, symbolizing the intertwined history of maritime tragedy and deep-sea exploration.
