Whale Swallows Diver

A lobster diver named Michael Packard had an incredible encounter with a humpback whale while diving near Provincetown, Cape Cod. He ended up in the whale’s mouth for about 30 seconds before being spat out. Although this story sounds unbelievable, similar incidents occasionally happen. Whales are generally not threats to divers, but close encounters with these massive creatures can occur, especially in areas rich with marine life.
