Amazon Ditches Plastic Air Pillows in North America

Amazon will stop using plastic air pillows in North America, eliminating nearly 15 billion of them annually. This decision comes after years of campaigning by Oceana to reduce plastic waste, which is detrimental to marine life. Plastic air pillows, made from flexible film, are often not recyclable and instead contribute to ocean pollution and harm to wildlife. Amazon will replace the plastic pillows with recycled paper fillers, a significant move for the environment and marine conservation efforts.
