Tens of Thousands of Deadly Traps. One Goal: Remove Them All.

In 2022, Sea Shepherd recovered 7,672 illegal octopus traps in Tuscany. This saved hundreds of octopuses from dying. Now, they are focused on Greece to remove thousands of traps too. In the first four days, they found 4,650 traps, helping protect marine life. Their goal is to recover many more traps and help Greece’s octopus population thrive again.
