How to become a diving instructor

To become a diving instructor, you need diving experience and certifications. Start with the PADI Open Water Diver course to learn basic skills. Next, progress to the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver courses. After gaining experience as a Divemaster, you can enroll in the Instructor Development Course (IDC). Completing the IDC allows you to take the final exam to become a PADI Instructor.
