Sunken Wreck Site Of 320-Year-Old English Warship Revealed In Remarkable Condition

A survey revealed the 320-year-old wreck of the Northumberland warship. This ship, sunk during a storm, remains mostly intact on the seabed. Divers found preserved wood, ropes, cannonballs, and iron cannons among other artifacts. Shifting currents and marine life threaten the wreck’s condition. Historic England monitors it for future study and preservation efforts.
