Treasure Fleet shipwrecks yield million dollar haul

Divers recovered over $1,000,000 in treasure from the 1715 Treasure Fleet. This fleet sank off Florida while carrying silver and gold coins. They found over 1,000 silver coins called Reales, and five gold coins, known as Escudos. The fleet was caught in a hurricane, leading to many losses. The recovered treasures tell important stories about history and will be displayed in museums.
