A New Manta in the Atlantic: Meet Mobula yarae 

A new species of manta ray, Mobula yarae, was discovered in the Atlantic. This is the third manta species identified after 15 years of research. M. yarae is found from the eastern U.S. to Brazil. It looks similar to other manta rays, but has unique V-shaped shoulder patches. Protecting this species is important as it faces threats like fishing gear and pollution.
