Compassion vs. Tradition: Neighboring Nations Take Opposite Paths on Whales

In Iceland, people rescued over 50 stranded pilot whales. Nearby, fishermen in the Faroe Islands killed 95 long-finned pilot whales. These whales included juveniles and pregnant females. Both countries are prosperous and don’t need whale meat for survival. This shows a contrast between compassion and tradition.
