Deepest shipwreck in French waters discovered ‘frozen in time’

A 16th-century shipwreck named Camarat 4 has been found. It is the deepest wreck in French waters, over 2.5 kilometers deep. Archaeologists used remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to explore it. The ship was carrying well-preserved ceramics and other items. Future research will investigate the wreck and its history.
