Diveheart Releases New Documentary: ‘The Legend of the Statue’ – A Tribute to Gabe Spataro

Diveheart has released a documentary called “The Legend of the Statue,” focusing on the underwater statue “Christ of the Abyss.” Filmmaker David Marsh and dive industry leaders share the inspiring story of Gabe Spataro, a Korean War veteran. Spataro helped deliver the statue to Key Largo, Florida, in the 1960s. Later in life, after losing his sight, he returned to diving to reconnect with the statue he assisted in placing underwater.
