Diving Signs Could Learn A lot From the Deaf Community

The diving community lacks effective underwater communication methods. Nyle DiMarco, a deaf actor, highlighted this issue during his scuba training. He found that traditional hand signals could be confusing. Collaborating with Thomas Koch, they aim to create a new underwater sign language based on American Sign Language. This would help divers communicate better both underwater and on land.
