Emperor Seven Seas liveaboard destroyed by fire in Port Ghalib

The Emperor Seven Seas liveaboard was destroyed by a fire while moored in Port Ghalib. Fortunately, all passengers and crew were evacuated safely, thanks to the crew’s quick response to emergency procedures. This incident adds to concerns regarding safety in the Egyptian scuba diving tourism industry, following previous tragic accidents. Emperor Divers has an excellent safety record, but this marks the ninth liveaboard loss in Egypt since February 2023.
