Many liveaboard operators lacked proper maintenance and crew training after the pandemic, contributing to these risks. Divers should prioritize safety by demanding evacuation drills, inspecting safety equipment, and being aware of the vessel’s maintenance standards. Overall, greater awareness and accountability in the dive tourism industry are vital for enhancing safety.
