Mixing Diving and Drugs – NSAIDs Show Potential for DCS Treatment

Mixing diving and certain medications might help treat decompression sickness (DCS). In remote areas, using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like Tenoxicam can improve the treatment of mild DCS. These drugs may reduce the number of chamber treatments needed. However, they are not a substitute for immediate medical care and evacuation. More research is necessary to fully understand how these medications work in DCS cases.
