The “Mystery” Skyraider is a wreck located off Point Loma at a depth of 650 feet. Discovered by the Orca Maritime team, the wreck is identified as Bureau Number 142042, a Skyraider produced in the late 1950s. Despite confirming its military markings, questions remain about how it ended up in its current location. The aircraft seems to have been transferred to the Air Force, yet it still bears Navy insignia, and no accident reports exist to clarify its history.
