New Jason deCaires Taylor ‘Ocean Gaia’ sculpture installed in Japan.

Jason deCaires Taylor has created a sculpture called “Ocean Gaia” in Japan. It’s located off Tokunoshima island at 5 meters deep. Weighing over 45 tons, it provides a new habitat for marine life. Sculptures like this can attract fish and help local ecosystems. Taylor hopes this art increases interest in the ocean among young people.
