Oil tanker and cargo ship collide off UK coast

A container ship and an oil tanker collided in the North Sea, about ten miles off the Yorkshire coast. The oil tanker, Stena Immaculate, was anchored and reportedly carrying Jet-A1 fuel when it was struck by the Solong, a Portuguese-flagged container ship. Following the collision, a massive fireball erupted. Emergency services quickly responded, rescuing 32 crew members, though the extent of any oil spill or damage is still unclear. Investigations are underway to find out more about the accident’s causes and impacts.
