Postcards from the Edge – Thai Mine Exploration Project

The Thai Mine Exploration Project aims to document and evaluate flooded metal-ore mines in Kanchanaburi. These mines, which once produced silver, lead, and gold, now host unique aquatic life. The project involves mapping the tunnels, checking water quality, and promoting safe mine diving in Asia. Currently, a core dive team has laid thousands of meters of permanent lines in these underwater sites, and there are plans for further dives and biological sampling.
