Rebreather Mouthpiece Retaining Straps

Rebreather mouthpiece retaining straps (MRS) are critical for safety during diving. They help to secure the mouthpiece in place, especially during a loss of consciousness (LoC) due to inappropriate breathing gases. Without an MRS, a diver risks drowning as the mouthpiece can fall out, leading to fluid aspiration and asphyxiation.
