Reef Renewal Foundation Bonaire successfuly breeds rare pillar coral

The Reef Renewal Foundation Bonaire has successfully bred rare pillar coral. They collected the sperm and eggs during a spawning event. Young corals will grow in underwater nurseries before returning to the reef. Pillar corals are endangered due to disease and climate change. This work helps coral adapt and thrive in changing ocean conditions.
