Russian Diver Spends 24 Hours Adrift In The Pacific

A Russian diver, Elena Dorofeeva, spent 24 hours adrift in the Pacific. She was diving near Sakhalin Island when strong currents swept her away. Her instructor delayed his entry, causing her to ascend alone. After failing to find the boat, she improvised a flag to signal for help. A research vessel eventually rescued her, and she was unharmed.
