Sea Story survivors speak out – Part 4: The ‘interrogation’

After a tragic capsizing of the liveaboard Sea Story, survivors were rushed through an interrogation-like process by Egyptian authorities. They faced pressure to give statements shortly after their rescue, without time to recover from the ordeal. Many felt coerced into signing documents they did not fully understand. Survivors expressed concerns about the integrity of their statements, believing vital information about safety failures was omitted. They felt that the investigation aimed to control the narrative rather than seek the truth of what happened during the disaster.
