Spearfisher ‘severely injured ‘ by shark in Bahamas

A 63-year-old man was injured by a shark while spearfishing in The Bahamas. This incident occurred near Big Grand Cay on August 17. He was taken to a local clinic and then to the US for treatment. Sharks in the Bahamas, like tiger and bull sharks, can be dangerous, but attacks are rare. In 2024, around 11.2 million tourists visited the area for various water activities.
