Giant manta rays are the world’s largest rays, reaching 26 feet wide. They are found in warm waters around the globe, often near coastlines. These filter feeders eat tiny organisms in the water, using unique structures in their mouths to catch food. Unfortunately, giant manta rays are endangered due to fishing and their slow reproduction rate. Protecting their habitats and reducing fishing pressure are important for their survival.
