Sydney Unveils Plans For Its First Purpose-Built Dive Wreck

Sydney is planning its first artificial reef for diving. The project will sink a decommissioned ship to create a dive site. This wreck will boost local marine life and attract fish like kingfish and snapper. It is expected to cost between AU$6-10 million but could generate up to AU$48.6 million in five years. Local businesses and over 14,000 residents support this project.
