Green turtles are no longer considered endangered. Their population has grown due to conservation efforts. Over the last 200 years, human activities greatly reduced their numbers. Green turtles are important to ocean health, requiring healthy habitats. Ongoing conservation is essential to maintain and further this population recovery.
