Lemon sharks are distinct due to their large second dorsal fin and yellowish skin color. They can breathe by pumping their gills and don’t need to swim constantly. This means they often rest in the sand, especially near reefs. Last summer, a large lemon shark was frequently spotted on dives next to loggerhead turtles.
