Fatigue, lack of assertiveness, and norms are key factors in diving safety. Fatigue reduces focus and increases errors during dives. Lack of assertiveness prevents divers from speaking up about unsafe situations. Norms can create unsafe practices over time, like skipping buddy checks. Building a culture of safety helps divers prevent accidents and support each other.
