Swedish marine archaeologists have discovered ancient blockships in Karlskrona. They identified eight wrecks from the 17th and 18th centuries. These ships were sunk to protect Sweden’s naval base. The oldest wreck is the Hercules, built in 1651. This discovery helps us learn about Sweden’s naval history.
