The TBF-1C Avenger wreck lies at 120 feet off Anacapa Island. The plane crashed in 1945 during a training exercise. One plane was found while another is still missing. The wreck has deteriorated over time but is still accessible for diving. Always check your gear before diving to avoid issues underwater.
