Thailand Bans New Divers From Using Cameras In The Water

Thailand has implemented new regulations that ban new divers from using underwater cameras. Only certified divers with advanced qualifications or those with enough logged dives can use cameras. This decision aims to protect fragile coral reefs, as inexperienced divers often struggle with buoyancy control while taking photos. The Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment emphasizes the need for careful management of marine ecosystems to reduce diving-related damage. Violation of these new rules can lead to serious penalties for dive operators and tourists.
