The Search for Ables’ S-3 Viking (Point Loma, CA)

A team has been searching for the S-3 Viking plane that crashed off Point Loma. The pilot’s body was never recovered, making this search important and personal. They have conducted several exploratory dives and used advanced tech like an underwater vehicle (AUV) to scan the area. Two possible wreck targets were found, one possibly being part of the plane’s wing. They continue to seek donations to fund their search efforts.
