US Navy and Latvian EOD Experts Work to Clear Shipwreck

US Navy divers worked with Latvian Navy experts to clear a WWII shipwreck. They removed dangerous unexploded bombs from the cargo ship Ilmenau in the Baltic Sea. Tides and sea currents made this job risky for divers and nearby boats. The teams successfully disposed of over 50 munitions using controlled explosions. Their work helped ensure safety for divers and local marine activities.
