A civilian dive team has launched a crowdfunding campaign to honor the crew of the HMS Exmouth, a British warship that sank in 1940 during WWII. The campaign aims to add the names of the ship’s 190 lost crew members to a new lifeboat by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. The diving team surveyed the wreck as part of a project to raise awareness and preserve the history of the site. Donations will support lifesaving efforts while ensuring the memory of the crew is preserved.
