A cave diver has tragically died while diving in the Sorgente del Brenno cave in Ticino, Switzerland. The diver failed to return from his dive, prompting search efforts by local police and the Swiss Speleological Rescue Service. The cave is known for its challenging conditions, including steep drops that reach depths of 68 meters and narrow passages generally explored solo. The body was found at a depth of over 40 meters, approximately 200 meters from the entrance, and recovery operations are ongoing, complicated by poor visibility and the cave’s shape.
