Tank-less Scuba Diving A Possibility

A new crystal made from cobalt could change scuba diving by allowing divers to breathe without tanks. This crystal absorbs oxygen from the air, up to 160 times more than normal, and can release it when needed. This technology could make diving easier by extracting oxygen from the water, potentially allowing divers to leave their tanks behind. If successful, this innovation may also have benefits for other fields like fuel cells and helping patients who need oxygen.
