Encountering loggerhead turtles while diving in south Florida is a magical experience due to their size and gentle nature. These turtles can live up to 100 years, weigh up to 400lbs, and are best observed calmly and slowly without chasing them. Approaching them on the top of the reef and using good dive etiquette can lead to incredible underwater experiences.
