The Dive

Even though we are diving the Blue Heron Bridge, there are several different options for the type and objectives of the dive. In this section, I'll describe the options and you can choose the one you like.

The Standard
We'll walk up West from where we enter the water until we are near the beginning of the snorkel trail. We will then surface swim out to it. We will descend and leisurely make our way down the snorkel trail. At the end, we'll float up under the bridge, visit an old sunken sail boat, and then float back under the bridge.. We'll turn and head West and end the dive in about 5ft of water.

Seahorse Safari
We will surface swim out to a grassy spot just inside the guarded swim area. We will descend and crawl the bottom looking for seahorses. Sometimes we see them, sometimes we don't. After 10-15 minutes of this, we'll finish up the snorkel train and head East to an old pier whose pilings are still there. We'll look for more seahorses. After we float under the bridge, we'll hug the east shore and check the docks over there for sea horses.

All The Wrecks
This one again starts at the beginning of the snorkel trail. We float down it, past wreck #1, an old sunk fishing skiff. At the end of the snorkel trail, we will head south east to Julie's Wreck. It's a little bit of a swim so if you aren't comfortable swimming against current, we can skip it. We then float under the bridge to the sail boat, and after we return, we end it at another sunken little fishing boat.
