CREATURE FEATURE: Angel Sharks
Angel sharks are fascinating creatures with flattened bodies and large fins that help them ambush prey by lying partially buried in the sand. They have excellent camouflage and can be found hunting mostly at night. Unfortunately, many angel shark species are threatened due to fishing practices, making it important for divers to understand their role in the ecosystem.
