3,600-year-old bronze dagger found in ancient Turkish shipwreck

A 3,600-year-old bronze dagger was discovered by archaeological divers in an ancient shipwreck off the coast of Kumluca, Turkey. The dagger, measuring 18 cm and featuring silver rivets, is believed to belong to the Minoan civilization. The shipwreck site, which sank during a storm, was carrying copper ingots from Cyprus, essential for making bronze. This discovery is seen as one of the most significant underwater archaeological finds in Turkey’s recent history, with further research planned for the next five years.
