Recently, 130 white-sided dolphins were slaughtered in the Faroe Islands during a practice known as the Grindadrap. This ancient tradition involves driving pods of dolphins into shallow water to be killed. Sea Shepherd, an organization against this practice, documented the event and expressed its outrage at the unnecessary cruelty inflicted on these animals. The killing included young calves, showing a complete disregard for the dolphins’ welfare and family bonds. Sea Shepherd continues to advocate for an end to these hunts and push for better protection of marine life.
