Finding A Martin Baltimore in Antikythera

A team of divers from AegeanTec recently explored the waters off Antikythera, Greece, searching for a WWII Martin Baltimore bomber that was believed to have sunk in the area. After several attempts since 2017, they finally located the wreck in July 2024. The plane was found near a small cargo vessel wreck at a depth of around 70-75 meters. Although the aircraft was in damaged condition, most interior parts were still visible, allowing for historical documentation and preservation efforts.
