The Healthy Seas Foundation and Partners Collect 50 Containers of Marine Litter

The Healthy Seas Foundation and its partners collected 50 containers of marine litter from abandoned fish farms in Western Greece. This year-long “Operation Ghost Farms” removed harmful debris before it could further pollute coastal waters. Volunteer divers played a key role by retrieving discarded fishing nets and other debris, while local schools and universities participated in educational activities. The project emphasizes community involvement and aims to protect marine ecosystems and local livelihoods impacted by pollution.
