A Key Collaboration: University Of Alberta And CRF Unite For Mutual Goals
The Coral Restoration Foundation and the University of Alberta have formed a close collaboration focusing on coral reef restoration. Dr. Stephanie Green from the University of Alberta, along with her graduate students, conduct research in the Florida Keys using a boat provided by CRF. Their studies range from biodiversity changes to the impacts of corallivore species on restored corals. A study published in 2022 highlighted the importance of biogenic habitats for fish recruitment on reefs, supporting CRF’s large-scale restoration efforts in Florida.
