ANGELSHARK ACTION PLAN FOR THE CANARY ISLANDS
The Angelshark has greatly declined in numbers over the past century due to excessive fishing. The Canary Islands is currently the only place where these sharks can be frequently seen. The Angelshark Action Plan was created in 2016 to protect this species, ensuring their population remains healthy in their last stronghold.
