Another Successful MantaFest Hosted on Yap

The 17th annual MantaFest, hosted by Manta Ray Bay Resort and Yap Divers, attracted underwater photographers and divers from around the world. A new feature this year was blackwater diving, allowing participants to explore deep ocean night dives in the Yap Trench. This unique experience revealed diverse marine life and will now be offered weekly. The photography competition provided exciting categories, with Ken Sutherland winning the grand prize for his photo “Sharks Over-Under.” Next year’s MantaFest is scheduled from August 23 to September 7, 2025.
