B-25 Engine (Santa Monica — < 200 fsw)

A radial engine from a B-25 bomber was discovered underwater in Santa Monica Bay. The engine is part of a wreck that originated from a crash in 1946. Divers successfully located and documented the wreck, which is in a debris field that makes identifying parts challenging. The wreck remains unexplored as only a small section has been located so far, leading to further searches for the remaining parts.
