Recently, 130 white-sided dolphins were brutally killed in the Faroe Islands as part of a tradition called the Grindadrap. This practice involves herding entire pods of dolphins into shallow bays for mass slaughter. The killing disregards the welfare of these sentient animals, including young calves. Sea Shepherd has been documenting these events and fighting for an end to the Grindadrap, which they describe as a cruel and senseless practice that must stop.
