The Great Hammerhead is the largest species of hammerhead shark, known for its unique head shape that enhances its ability to maneuver and detect prey. As a solitary and migratory species, they travel alone over long distances. Unfortunately, Great Hammerheads are critically endangered due to population declines caused by fishing and bycatch.
